WordPress made the announcement that they are ending support for PHP4 and MySQL4. Version 3.1 will be the last version to support PHP4 and MySQL4, expected to be released towards the end of the year. WordPress 3.2 will require MySQL 5.0.15 and PHP 5.2. You can read the official announcement here.
We are already using above the minimum version required for both. When WordPress 3.2 is released the first half of 2011, clients can smoothly upgrade to the new versions.
