This is a reminder that WordPress 5.0 is set to be released November 19, 2018. We recommend making sure you are using child themes and have a backup of your site before upgrading. You can download a backup from within the control panel.

Making a child theme of your current theme is important to ensure that any custom changes you make to the theme are not removed when the theme or WordPress is updated. There are plugins, on the WordPress site, that can easily assist you with this.

Please note: MultiPHP Manager is available to you within the control panel. You have full control over what version of PHP you are using. If you need to upgrade, please do so using this tool. If you find something breaks with your site when you upgrade, you can easily revert to the previous version to troubleshoot the issue. If you are using WordPress, feel free to update to 7.2 if you have not done so already.

One last note: there is a significant change with the editor in WordPress 5.0. The new editor, where you make your posts, uses a modular method they've called Gutenberg. WordPress has an article you can read here to introduce you to it. There is also a plugin you can download to experiment with it prior to 5.0's release.
