We received notice from the data center of their upcoming scheduled maintenance as follows: Date: 19th October 2010 (Tuesday) Start time: 03:59 EST (Eastern Standard Time) ESTIMATED COMPLETION TIME: 19th October 2010, 08:59 EST Scheduled Event Duration: 120 minutes TYPE OF WORK: Upgrade PURPOSE OF WORK: Capacity Increase and Source Changes Possible Impact: Some customers may experience a brief period of increased latency, or may experience a brief interruption of service. Actual impact duration expected to be less than 5 minutes. Scope of Work: As a result of our continued growth in DC3 we are nearing the completion of a major upgrade and build out which will almost triple the power capacity for this datacenter. The power upgrade will require us to replace the line side service on several of our main distrbution panels. This will result in a planned disruption of power to our UPS systems for no more than 60 seconds. As these systems are designed to continue functioning with losses of power far longer than this we do not anticipate power distruptions reaching any of our server or network infrastructure. As with any maintenace effecting our core infrastructure we will have additional staff on-site to handle any issues should they arise. We will also be using this time to review all aspects of our network. If any areas are found to be operating outside of our design specifications will be addressing these issues during this maintenance window.
